“Sitting with the feeling.” Is about accepting what comes when the insecurities and old fears get triggered. The stirring up of all the usual feels, (who even are you) (what makes you think) (you could never).

One by one, I pluck them out of the stew, and then once I’ve got them all pinned out, I lawyer them. Hit that insecurity with the rebuttal, after you’ve discerned whether it’s reasonable or just brain drama. I mean, the feelings are trying to help, so you have to hear what they have to say, even though it doesn’t always feel helpful.

This original painting was created on thick piece of wood cut out into the shape of the figure. It hangs with a french cleat so that it doesn’t need to be framed and is ready to hang.
